You can significantly speed up the duration of a firmware update via the serial port ?
Launch Tk-Flash and on the main menu bar choose "Serial". As well as the port (Com1, Com2,...) you can then also set the transfer speed.
Depending on your operating system, you can use a transfer speed of 57600 Baud or 115200 Baud.
The default setting is the Com1 port at a speed of 9600 Baud !
You can also update via an existing internal S0 bus of course !
