LCR (Least Cost Routing)

10/24/2000

by the German Regulatory Authority for Post and Telecommunications, the identifier codes of providers/carriers in Germany may only be 5- or 6-digit.
If you are using providers/carriers in your LCR profile with longer codes (Teledump 01015031), the following errors may occur in the system:

Example 1
You dial the number 030123456. Based on your active LCR profile, this number is suffixed by the code 01015031 for dialing via Teledump. The system thus dials 01015031030123456.
Let's assume the called line is busy. You want to use the redial function to call the line again. Because of the "invalid" length of the provider ID code, the number 030123456 is turned into 031030123456.
Only the first five digits are filtered out of the first number dialed, and the remaining number is transmitted again for dialing by way of the LCR profile. You misdial !

Example 2
You dial the number 030123456. Based on your active LCR profile, this number is suffixed by the code 01015031 for dialing via Teledump. The system thus dials 01015031030123456.
Based on your active fallback feature, the number being dialed is "handed over" to another provider/carrier after the preset number of call attempts. This means in this case, too, the number is shortened by the first five digits.
Again the number 031030123456 is left. As in example 1, the result can only be a misdial (number unavailable) !
